Your commute. Better connected.

MetroConnect brings regional rail and subway trip planning together for NY/NJ riders. It combines schedules stored on the device with connected arrival information and service alerts, while distinguishing live estimates from scheduled departures.

The official site describes a free app with no account and no ads. MetroConnect is available now on Android and iOS. Get it on Google Play → Download on the App Store →

Visit MetroConnect

One region.
Several transit systems.

NY/NJ journeys can cross train, subway, and PATH networks. Checking schedules, finding a track, and understanding a transfer often happen while the rider is already moving.

MetroConnect brings those tasks into one Android app. Built-in schedules remain available without a signal, while connected data adds arrivals and alerts where supported.

What MetroConnect supports.

Schedules without a signal

Built-in schedules cover NJ TRANSIT Rail, LIRR, Metro-North, PATH, and NYC Subway. Live arrivals and alerts still need an internet connection.

NJT track assignments

View DepartureVision tracks at New York Penn and Newark Penn when NJ TRANSIT announces them. Confirm boarding tracks on station displays.

Subway and PATH arrivals

Live boards cover selected subway stations and PATH hubs. Coverage and live-data availability vary by operator and service.

Saved commutes and alerts

Save stations and regular journeys, choose transit systems, and focus service alerts on relevant lines.

Connections across systems

Supported trips can combine rail, subway, PATH, and station-to-station walking connections. The app does not provide street-address navigation.

Clear data boundaries

Labels distinguish live estimates from schedules and signal loss. Fare estimates are limited; official agency services handle ticket purchases.

Built with clear boundaries.

The verified platform is Android. Schedules are stored in the app, preferences stay on the device, and live information comes from public agency feeds. The official site does not disclose a programming framework, so no implementation stack is claimed here.

MetroConnect is independent of the MTA, NJ TRANSIT, and the Port Authority of NY & NJ. Data can lag service; confirm critical trips with the operating agency.
