Family stories

The reviews that mean the most.

Jacob was teething and screaming through the night. Dr. Patel sat with us for 45 minutes — actually 45 minutes — and walked us through every option. We left with a plan and slept that night for the first time in a week.

Priya M. Mom of Jacob, age 4

We were terrified to bring up an autism screening. Dr. Lin made it feel like the most normal conversation in the world. She advocated for early intervention and our daughter is thriving — I cry just thinking about it.

James & Renee K. Parents of Maya, age 6

Sports physical at 5pm on a Tuesday — printed, signed, in our hands by 5:30. My son made his soccer tryouts the next morning. This is a clinic that actually understands family logistics.

FAQ

Questions parents ask us most.

Insurance & billing — how does it work here?

We're in-network with most major plans (BCBS, Aetna, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, Horizon NJ Health, and NJ Medicaid). Co-pays are due at visit. We'll verify your benefits before your first appointment and walk you through any out-of-pocket costs upfront — no surprise bills.

What happens after hours or on weekends?

Our 24/7 nurse line — staffed by registered pediatric nurses — answers every call, every night. For true emergencies, we always direct you to 911 or the nearest ER. For everything else (rashes, fevers, "is this normal?"), our nurses triage and loop in the on-call doctor when needed.

What's your stance on vaccinations?

We follow the AAP/CDC schedule and strongly recommend it for the safety of your child and our community. We're happy to discuss spacing, side effects, and any concern you have — but we don't accept patients who decline core vaccines. We say this kindly and openly so families can choose the right fit.

Do you offer telehealth visits?

Yes — for rashes, medication follow-ups, mental health check-ins, and a lot of "should I bring her in?" moments. Telehealth is bookable through the patient portal and most plans cover it the same as in-person.

How do we switch from our current pediatrician?

Easy. Book a new-patient meet & greet, and we'll send a records request to your previous office on your behalf. Most transfers complete in 7–10 days, and you can see us before records arrive.

Sick visits vs. well visits — what's the difference?

Well visits are scheduled checkups (newborn, 2-month, annual physicals, etc.) focused on growth, development, and prevention. Sick visits address an active illness or injury. Insurance bills them differently — we always tell you in advance which type of visit you're booking.
